Cornerstone-Ink Editing
Do you need help polishing your article, newsletter, query letter,
nonfiction book proposal, or nonfiction book?
Then you are at the right place!
My greatest joy as a writer is to help others move closer to their publishing dream.
As a guide, I’ll work with and mentor you, showing you options for polishing your nonfiction project, taking time to explain edits, and making suggestions for strengthening your work.
But, if you only want someone to “fix it,” I can do that. Either way, I’ll work with you to get your project to the level you desire.
I use the industry standard style guides, including The Chicago Manual of Style, The Associated Press Stylebook, and A Christian Writer’s Manual of Style. If your publisher provides a house guide, I can work with that as well.
I specialize in developmental and copyediting. Edits are made using Microsoft Track Changes, which allows you to see my comments, and the edits I’ve made. You will have the choice to accept or decline each change. I can also provide a clean copy of the manuscript, with the changes already made for you.
Mentor or Fixer, or a combination of the two–I will tailor services to meet your needs.
Levels of editing service available:
Basic Copyediting: I identify and correct punctuation, word usage, grammar, spelling, and typos. I also check for sentence structure and clarity, reading level, redundancies, inconsistencies, and note any sections that may need further attention by the author.
Content or Developmental Editing: I cover the areas noted above, and also correct errors in transitions, style, and organization. I provide suggestions for rewriting problem passages and ways to improve the overall flow and readability.
Book Mama: With this service, I tutor you through the book writing process, providing feedback as you go, and helping you achieve your book writing goals.

Cornerstone Editing Mission Statement
My desire is to encourage and mentor other writers, and to help them develop the skills needed to answer their call to write.
Each manuscript entrusted to me is a gift from God that I nurture with respect for the author and his or her voice, while moving the writing closer to publication quality.
